monday, week two of last semester as a senior/undergrad at UIUC.
what a great day! each day keeps getting better!!
things of note:
lost my cell phone yesterday
-either at ISR or UniCoRn area
-i probably wont get it back
-why? no one turned it in yet; after calling it several times to find its location, the possessors/theives turned it off, so now it goes straight to voicemail
-we can still hope huh?
-i'm okay with it, i was gonna get a new one anyways and a new plan, but i was gonna give my old one to my family...sad, no dice
still waiting for laptop
-ordered an ibook from the Mircocenter in the Union
-hopefully arrives the end of this week
still without computer
-mine hasnt worked since beginning of finals week last semester
-purchased new motherboard and CPU, but wrong RAM
-waiting for new RAM
-hopefully it's not the power supply
-i have like 1.8 computers and none of it works!
-thanks to Tim for use of computer!!
i like my classes
-i only need 13 hours to graduate!
-i have 15 hours right now...
-i dont have all my books yet
-i am trying to get into CHLTH 240 (3 hours)
-if i do, i will drop Dance 106 (1 hour) and maybe C&I 160 (2 hours)
-if i dont get into CHLTH, then i may drop either Dance or C&I
i need to pray for
-myself and future
-SG
-Kings Club
i need to do
-more reading the Bible
-more prayer
-less of me, more reliance on God's strength and grace
that was a good first week of classes. only missed one class that i might drop anyways. hoping to get into one that will allow me to drop two classes. i like most of my classes so far. i think education classes are the best. the professors and TAs really seem to like teaching contrary to their peers. still trying to hold onto committements made over break. we'll see how next week goes.
welcome Vince Yang to ABEL 4!
we had our first Spring '03 Large Group. it was good stuff. P. Min is so MONEY. he spills God's blessings even after umph-teen hours of flying and lack of rest. God is good.
missed tea house to go to canopy with my old roommate Wesly and his friend Andrew. that was fun, although i'd rather sit down and have a meal with him. hanna come back to uiuc. she should just live out here, which she almost does. her and elisa came out with us. i had a fun time, how could i not right?
the clubbing/partying scene is still the same. i'm getting older though so i cant keep up with those young-uns. God needs to shine more in those dark places. us Christians compromise too easily and it's just kinda ugly. my prayer...God, send me! let me be Your light in the darkness.
back to school, back to back to school, back to school, to the ol' skoo'!
ah yes, what a wonderful break. a full month away. but it's nice to be back. OIL and Harvest retreat were great. umich was fun, you guys are awesome. i miss the good food already. back to apt-made sandwiches and bumming dorm meals.
hanna came by the evening before school started and we chilled. she finally saw fight club. you should see it too and let me know what you think. she missed class since she was still out here hanging out with people.
i had to go to all my classes. i totally crashed during my first class. i think i was so tired i was mumbling. no one said anything since i donno anyone in that class. i dont wanna take business law! tuesday is gonna be my long day again. thursday too. at least i can sleep in mon, thurs, fri and sat...kinda. 10am, 11am, 1pm and 10am respectively. tues and wed i work at 8am again.
dont you guys miss my ramblings? no, i thought not.
i turned 22 at OIL
some people have been Christian longer than we've been alive
i'm not old
i still have so much farther to go
i still have so much to learn
i still have so much to change
God break me
God be gentle
i am Yours
